Our approach is grounded in the SPACE model of leadership development, which is our own research-based framework introduced in our book Leadership as Performance, The model focuses on cultivating five essential leadership skills to become an effective leader:

  • Authenticity

  • Communication

  • Emotional intelligence

Introduced in the book Leadership as Performance, the SPACE model is based on the premise that leadership is a performance—an intentional, embodied act through which leaders inspire others to achieve shared goals. Like any performance, leadership can be practiced, refined, and strengthened through creative expression and experiential learning.
